Aparri, Cagayan – In a significant move to address the need for improved educational facilities, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) RO II has pledged ₱25 million for the construction of a new academic building at Cagayan State University (CSU) Aparri Campus. This announcement was made during the visit of DBM Regional Director Cherry W. Bravo, to assess the current conditions of the campus' facilities on December 3, 2024.

During her inspection, Director Bravo noted the urgent requirement for additional classrooms and laboratories to accommodate the growing number of students and spoke with the Campus Executive Officer, Eng. Audy R. Quebral, about the urgent needs of the university. The lack of buildings created challenges for students and the faculty.

The new academic building is expected to feature modern classrooms, laboratories, and study spaces that will help foster a better learning environment.

Moreover, Director Bravo encouraged the campus administration to submit a proposal for additional funding aimed at repairing and improving existing buildings that were severely affected by the recent devastating typhoons. This would include upgrading laboratory facilities and acquiring new equipment to ensure that students have access to the necessary resources for their studies.

The commitment from the DBM highlights the government's dedication to enhancing educational infrastructure, particularly in areas facing challenges due to natural disasters. As CSU Aparri Campus prepares for the construction of the new academic building, students and faculty alike are looking forward to the positive changes that will enhance their learning experiences.

This project stands as a vital step towards improving educational facilities at CSU Aparri Campus, ensuring that students receive quality education in a supportive environment and the academic community can contribute to the success of the students and the community. #
