The College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (CFAS) proved once again its commitment to academic excellence and competence after producing thirty seven (37) new Fisheries Professionals during the October 2024 Fisheries Technologist Licensure Examination.
Fifty (50) examinees composed of thirty six (36) first takers and fourteen (14) repeaters took the examination on October 10-11, 2024. Statistically, the college obtained 74% passing rate which is higher than the 66.60% national passing rate.
Dean Quirino G. Pascua expressed his gratitude for this timely accolade achieved for his college. “I am overwhelmed now! I congratulate the faculty of Instruction of the College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences for this feat for continuously upholding quality and excellence in instruction”, he mentioned.
Moreover, this year’s FTLE percentage made a history as it becomes the highest for the college for the last 21 years which now serves as an ensign of their collaborative efforts and sacrifices for the past several years.
“The College will continue to sustain its passion to produce quality graduates who will add to the pool of Fisheries Professionals in the country”, Dean Pascua accentuated.
